Phil Cohl began his investment industry career in 1966.  In 1989, he became one of the first financial advisors to be selected for the discretionary portfolio management program at his prior firm.  Phil earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of Southern California, where he avidly attends Trojan football games.

One of his great passions is mentoring students and promoting their growth in the field of finance.  Active in his community, he spent 9 years as a volunteer professor at Cal Poly where he co-taught the Student Managed Portfolio.  He is a member and past president of the Five Cities Men's Club, a local nonprofit organization that raises funds to support philanthropic endeavors throughout the community.

Tawnee Hosick began her career in the investment industry in 1998.  In 2006, she joined Phil as a Financial Advisor, and The Cohl Hosick Group was formed shortly thereafter.  Tawnee was named Branch Manager of the San Luis Obispo office of Stifel, which opened in 2010.

With more than 20 years in the industry, Tawnee is a seasoned professional who can assist you in making important financial decisions.  Having attained and maintained the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation, she has received training on the duties of good faith and standards of care, insurance reviews, tax strategies, as well as estate planning issues and retirement planning.  She also holds Series 7, 9 & 10, 63, and 65 securities and life, health, and variable (including annuities) insurance licenses.  Outside the office, Tawnee enjoys spending time with her two children, Madalyn and Patrick Jr.

Tawnee is a past board member of the Assistance League of San Luis Obispo.  She is also a certified Court Appointed Special Advocate for at risk youth in San Luis Obispo and an annual student coach for Cal Poly's Marketing Department's “pitch” competition.
